Sonic worlds
While photography tries to immortalise fleeting moments, preserve them, force people to look at them, music relies on the linearity of time itself. The moment we hear and understand music, it is gone.
Sure, a piece of music can be performed again, a record can be rewound, but it remains impossible to pause and contemplate an exact split-second.
Round and Round (2023)
Round and Round is my first ever public release, a single consisting of three songs. Released in 2023, it’s the result of an ever-growing fascination with electronic synthesisers, music and sounds.
The driving bass, melodic lines and warm harmonic sounds invite the listener to escape and lose themselves in this world while the lyrics revolve around the unstoppable passing of time and the question of identity and self-definition.
